Living in an RV Henly RV Park Thursday 02/29/2024 Leap Year.

Today is February 29 which means that it is a Leap Year only occurring once every four years. Doesn’t make any difference to me as one day is very much the same as the rest. An extra day in the year is hardly noticeable.

I got up around 8:00 am to a very cold and cloudy day. As usual following the morning ablutions, the first thing after harnessing up the dogs and tying them to to outside table, was to bring out the bird feeders and hanging them in their usual places. I did not have to refill any of them.

We went out for that first walk of the day and just wandered around going in whichever direction Miss Sandy wanted to go and managed to cover a half mile. The wind had dropped but it was very cold and there was no pleasure in walking or being outside.

We returned to the RV for the usual coffee and breakfast for me and food for the dogs. Sandy ate most of hers and Mikey, as usual, saved his for later. I ate mine today which was three separate pieces of toast with peanut butter on one, marmite on another one and marmalade on the third piece. I like variety…Today, I drank coffee, but it didn’t taste right so I think I will go back to tea, tomorrow.

I turned my attention to the blog catching up with yesterday and starting on today. It would be nice if I could write what I wanted to happen, and it did…Think of the possibilities.

I glanced up at the clock and it said that it was 12:00 pm already. I have no idea where the time goes but it flies by. Even when I have nothing to do and am just sitting around, the time still flies by as does what is left of my life.

We went out for another walkabout and this time, walked the road leading to Hwy 290. This time, I had on an extra jacket and gloves but still only had shorts on. As long as I keep my upper body warm, my legs can tolerate the cold to a certain degree.  Altogether, we covered 2.4 miles for the day.

Back in the RV, it was way too cold to sit out on the deck, so we sat around indoors with the heater going full blast eating potato chips and drinking a Shiner Bock beer.

The rest of the evening was spent in the usual way, food and then television,
