Living in an RV Henly RV Park Friday 01/23/2026

Today is two days after my 90th birthday and I don’t feel a bit older than I did yesterday. I was very grateful for those that took the time to send me Birthday wishes and for Delores for putting on the party. I hope there are at least a few more to come, birthdays and parties.

I very reluctantly rolled out of bed. It was nice and warm under the covers cuddling a couple of dogs and other than the fact that I had to “Go”, I had no reason to get up. In the end Nature won out, and I crawled out of bed. I happened to glance at the clock, and it said it was almost 12:00. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. How on earth did I manage to sleep so late and how come the dogs didn’t awaken me?

I harnessed up the dogs and we went out walking. Summer was being her usual ornery self and I could tell she didn’t really want to walk anyway. But needs must and out the door we went. We didn’t walk far, enough for them to do their thing then it was back to the RV for breakfast all around.

I sat down in front of the computer and worked on the blog bringing it up to date or at least as far as today has gone so far. The day slipped on by, and I decided to go grocery shopping as I was in need of a couple of important things. Back at the RV, I put everything away and took the dogs out walking. When we got back, I wandered over to visit the girls who had taken to hanging out in The Commons. BJ had finally quit work, and they had a big bottle of wine which I helped them drink. They are planning on moving to a different property very shortly away from this park. Very soon, it will be just Delores, and I left of the original group. Such is life especially when you are talking about living in an RV as they are built to travel.

I spent the evening with the girls’ watching movies and drinking wine and enjoying each other’s company. I finally wandered back to my RV as another day came to a close.
