I slept very well and awoke around 8:00 am. Not to ruin a good thing, I got up immediately and lifted the blinds to let in the morning sun and the heat along with it. After the usual morning ablutions, we harnessed up and went outside, I brought out the bird feeders which I had almost forgotten to bring in last evening and then we went walking the park.
The wind was howling with gusts up to 35 mph and it had a real chill to it. Needless to say, we made a short circuit around the RV and came straight back indoors.
I fixed breakfast and Miss Sandy, and I had some strong words about her eating habits which currently are nonexistent as she leaves everything, I give her which is no different than what she is used to. I do not mind her not eating as goodness only knows, she is a bit on the chunky side, but it means she is not taking her heart medicine which is a worry. Maybe, I need to find another way to administer it.
It was warm and toasty in the RV and I settled down to write the blog. Mikey was in his usual spot, on my lap, where he is allowed to stay until I get uncomfortable with sitting in one position with my knees closed tightly together to make Mikey a resting place. Then I gently usher him off to his own chair as I stretch to try to get the feeling back in my legs.
I could hear the wind howling around the RV and felt warm and very comfortable inside. I sat there and wondered if there was anything that I needed to do or worry about. I do need to get my taxes together, so I started to put together some of the paperwork. I am still waiting for some of it to come back to me from the different companies involved. I hate tax time…
I got as far as I could get with that for the time being and sat around for a while just contemplating and trying hard to doze off. It did not happen, so I harnessed up the dogs who were more than willing to go out walking.
We wandered around and ended up at the mailbox and of course, checked to see if there was anything of interest. The answer was a definitive, “No”. I collected what was in there and we continued walking and ended up at Larry and Crystals who feed my dogs treats. It occurred to me that I do not know their dogs name and will find out next time we stop. Incidentally, their dog is of the large variety and still a puppy. He tends to be a bit rough with my dogs and so they do not play with him when we visit. They stay as far away from him as they possibly can. He had already scratched me when I happened to get too close. Just his youthful exuberance.
We wandered on after thanking Larry and Crystal for the dog treats and managed to walk 1.1 miles for the day, which was not bad considering how uncomfortable it was outside with the very cold and strong wind.
Back in the RV, it was the usual thing for the evening. I caught up with the blog and then fed both dogs before finding something that I could munch on. Then it was the usual English Premier League game and the end of the evening.
