I lay in bed all warm and snuggly with two dogs for company. None of us wanted to get up and so we just lay there until finally, I crawled out. We have nothing planned for today but tomorrow is going to be a busy day with the dogs going to the groomers and me having to renew my driver’s license. Both are very important. 

It was still a bit blustery outside but not quite as cold as yesterday and the first job of course, was to bring out and then re-fill the feeders for our feathered friends. The dogs are of no help in this operation except to sit and supervise with Sandy muttering under her breath, “Why can’t he hurry up. I gotta “go”. 

With the birds finished for another day, we wandered around with Miss Sandy leading the way as she usually does. Every now and then, Mikey takes it into his head to be lead dog, but he quickly reverts to form and joins me as we trudge along behind the Boss Lady. 

We wandered around and then headed back to The Caboose for breakfast and for me, coffee and toast. Then it was time to play catch up with the blog but luckily, I am not behind except for the normal one-day lapse. Good job as with my memory, I would have to make things up. 

After working on the blog, I sat on the couch with the dogs which was my first mistake. The second one was closing my eyes and although I did not sleep, I just stayed there very comfortably sitting on the couch with a dog on either side of me. 

We stayed that way for an hour or more until Miss Sandy started getting restless because she had to “go”. We harnessed up and went out walking the park and hit the road all the way down to the Giant Oak Tree. Altogether, we managed to cover 1.5 miles for the day. Not bad for walking with a sore knee. I hope the damn thing gets better soon as it is very restrictive. 

Back in the RV, we sat outside for a while although it was a bit on the cool side, just drinking a beer and relaxing. I seem to do a lot of that. Most of the time was spent watching the birds and their antics on the feeders and when we came back inside, the birds continued to amuse me. After a bit, I went back outside and brought in the feeders for the night to keep them away from the deer. Actually, the deer in their own way are very helpful as the birds make such a mess and the area below the feeders is covered in seed and such. The deer did a good job of vacuuming it up. 

Back indoors, I worked on the blog and brought it up to date before the usual evening meal and television and food for my little friends.
