Living in an RV Henly RV Park Friday 02/23/2024

I got up early for me and was working on the feeders when Daniel, Malinda and Peggy hollered at me to come over to the Breakroom for coffee, which of course, I did. We spent 30 minutes or so just chatting before going our separate ways.

I finished bringing out the feeders and then harnessed up the dogs for their morning walk. We actually managed to walk 1.6 miles for that first walk of the day. Sandy wanted to keep walking but me and Mikey wanted to go back to the RV and beat her in a 2-1 vote.

Back at the RV, I found a few other things that I needed to do like water the few plants still alive after the frost we had received a couple of weeks ago. I guess I need to stop at Home Depot and buy some more. At least, I have a better idea of what not to buy. Anything with green leaves is deer food. I need spikey or prickly stuff which the deer will not touch.

With all the outdoor work caught up, I went back inside for breakfast except it was almost noon time which make it brunch. Because it was so late, I heated a frozen dinner and ate it instead. Then, I spent time working on the blog bringing it up to date and took care of a couple of other things including throwing in a load of laundry.

I just love having my own washer/dryer combo machine. Incidentally, I always have to remember to open the outside drains when I do laundry, or the water could back up and overflow into the RV. Under normal circumstances, the freshwater drain, and waste drain are closed and need to be opened periodically to empty the tanks. The reason for keeping them closed and only draining them periodically is that the solids get left behind as the fluid drains out which causes major problems to the system. Then, if that happens, the drain line needs backflushing to clean it out. This is not a difficult or messy task, but it is a pain to have to do it. So much for the daily “poop” discussion.

We went out for another walk and hit the outside road leading to Hwy 290. Walk wise, it was a very good day as we managed to cover 2.5 miles.

I got a call from Daniel inviting me over to the Breakroom where Malinda had been at it again and this time cooking hot dogs with all of the trimmings. The usual crew were there except Gary and Delores plus we had the addition of an extra camper that I had not met before.

When we got back, we sat on the outside deck for a while enjoying a beer until it began to cool off. Then, it was back indoors to feed the dogs and the usual television.
