I had another one of the mixed-up nights sleeping like a baby at times and at others, wide awake wishing it was morning. Of course, when it really was the morning and around my normal time to get out of bed, I was fast asleep and snoozing my fool head off. Eventually, I got up and we went out for the first walk of the day.
First, I brought out the bird feeders and did some different re-arranging of them to spread them out a little more. I even filled the water feeder but for some reason, it drains out. Then it was time for the first walk of the day, but we did not go very far and barely covered a half mile.
Back in the RV, I fixed the dog’s breakfast and then fed myself. As it was close to noon time, mine was a ravioli frozen dinner. Incidentally, I stayed with tea as it was not bothering my stomach. This was followed by the usual blog session as I scratched my head trying to remember what happened yesterday.
I worked on my taxes for a bit but am having trouble finding everything needed. One more thing to worry about. I fiddled around doing this and that but really nothing too important, but it killed time until we went out walking again. We went on our usual route only this time walking past the huge oak tree and managed to cover 1-6 miles.
Sandy is not very good at this walking thing. She thinks it is for her to smell EVERY possible smell out there. Consequently, we wander around in a general direction with a lot of stops and starts. She has an endless bladder and pees on everything she can smell. Sometimes Mikey will follow suit, but he is not as bad as she is. His problem is that he tends to lag a lot and the leash is rubbing against my leg which, with just wearing shorts, is very aggravating. So, I am constantly saying, “Come on, Mikey”. He gives me a look, catches up for a half minute and lags all over again.
In his earlier days with a different owner, he may have been trained to walk to heel as it is firmly ingrained in his brain.
When we got back, we sat outside for a while drinking a beer which does not seem to bother my stomach as the wine now does. It slowly got darker, and I brought in the bird feeders for another day, and we went back inside the RV for the rest of the evening.
