I slept very well enough that I crawled out of bed around 7:30 am. Totally unheard of but I did not feel the worst for getting up early…for me. We have no plans for today and as we have no transportation, we cannot even go grocery shopping. Good job, we are stocked up at least for a couple of days. May run out of beer though…
The first thing was to hang the bird feeders watched by the dogs who were tied to the table. Then, we wandered around and as we were up so early, the guys were still over at The Commons, and we wandered over to join them. We chatted for a bit before going out walking. As it happens, I forgot my phone, but I guess that we covered around a half mile.
I had a couple of emails that needed my attention to do with the Jeep and the RV repairs. I took care of that business and then turned my attention to the blog and worked on it for the next couple of hours bringing us up to date.
I looked around for other things to get up to, but I had pretty much covered all of the bases as far as Jeep and RV repairs. I had been in touch with James, the RV technician, and tried to send him pictures of the RV damage but I don’t think I got them right. He emailed that he would be out later today. As it happens, neither of the hot water heaters are working but I do not think it has anything to do with the storm. This is an ongoing problem that James has worked on before.
James showed up late and worked on the water system to give us hot water which we had been without since the storm. The two are not related as he had been working on it previously. While he was here, he took pictures of the damaged roof parts so he could order them.
We sat around a lot in the afternoon and went out for a couple of walks around the park and managed to cover exactly a mile for the day. Not very good at all but better than nothing.
Later on, after feeding us all, we sat around and watched a couple of soccer games before going to bed at a reasonable hour.
