Living in an RV Henly RV Park Saturday 07/27/2024

I had a funny old night and seemed to be awake for a lot of it. I have no idea why I could not sleep. I even thought about getting up early but convinced myself not to and lay there until 8:30 or so. After the cold-water routine on my face, I felt awake enough to face the day and we harnessed up and went out to wander around.

It was quiet outside, and we did not get to see any other campers except from a distance. There was one lady walking a large dog who, when she spotted us, went off in a different direction to avoid a confrontation. If she hadn’t, we would have…

Back in the RV, I put some stuff away and then decided that it was breakfast time. I got to use the new toaster that I bought yesterday and ate a couple of slices of toast done to perfection. Then. I sat down in front of the computer and played blog catchup. I was only a day behind which for me, is difficult to remember but after much concentration and reliving yesterday over and over, I finally was able to recall at least most of it.

With that done, I turned my attention to the day itself and what were we going to do for the rest of it. We did a lot of sitting around and of course, continued with straightening up the inside. All of the boxes have been unpacked and most of the stuff put away although there are still some things laying around. Now that I am at the end of the boxes that Malinda and Delores had packed because of the fumigation, I have a better idea of what I need to buy to replace the things they deemed unfit and were discarded.

I have already replaced a couple of obvious things like the toaster and some bathroom stuff and need to continue on putting the rest of it away.

We went out for another walk and just wandered around not going anywhere in particular. Sandy had on one of her “hang back on the leash” days as she spent forever working on all of the delicious smells she discovered. When she found a particularly good one, Mikey would come over to investigate and we would hang around some more.

The rest of the afternoon was spent working on “stuff” or just lazing around until it was time for the evening walk.
