Living in an RV Henly RV Park Sunday 09/28/2025

I rolled out of bed and after splashing cold water on my face, was really ready to face whatever was thrown our way today. Not that I was expecting it to be anything more than a typical, very hot Texas day. But, you never know. Mother Nature may decide to pull a fast one and send a tornado or something similar our way. Probably not though and it will be another very regular Summers day in Dripping Springs.

First thing was to take Mikey for a walk and we harnessed up and wandered around. Even at 9:00 am, the temperature was in the mid 90’s and it is going to be another scorcher. This is Texas after all. Thinking about it, it must have been hell for the early settlers.

It was quiet out but we did run into one camper who, with his wife, had brought his son to town to play baseball. The game was over and they were packing up there RV to go home. This park is very handily located just a couple of miles from the ball fields and we get a lot of baseball kids all through the summer.

Back indoors, I spent a lot of time looking on my laptop for adoptable dogs and located one that I liked. I immediately started the adoption process. Now, we shall just have to wait and see as there is no guarantee that my form will be accepted or that the dog may not have already have been adopted. I actually spent more than three hours looking for an adoptable dog.

The day had flown by and when I looked up, it was almost 6:00 pm. Without further ado, I harnessed up Sandy and we went out for a walk. We just wandered around in the shade as it was still very hot and then returned to the cool air conditioned RV and just sat around. It was so pleasant sitting outside that we stayed out for quite a while before moving back indoors for the evening meal and entertainment.
