Living in an RV Henly RV Park Thursday 12/25/2025

Today is Christmas Day much celebrated throughout the world within the Christian Community. It is also a day when presents are exchanged and then later, a Christmas Dinner with all of the appropriate food and beverages and the traditional Turkey.

I got up about the normal time and took the dogs walking. It was a cloudy and overcast day but at least it wasn’t raining. As usual, we walked around the park wishing anyone that we passed a Merry Christmas. Not being a very religious person and with no immediate family, to me, Christmas is just another day albeit generally with lots of food and drink and good company.

I am probably the oldest person in the park, and my neighbors go out of their way to make sure that I am not left out of the celebrations.

I received an invite from one of them to eat Christmas dinner in the Commons along with a half dozen others. At the time, I didn’t realize that it was a dinner and thought that a few people were just going to share a few drinks. These were all neighbors of whom, I had only met one person before.

They made me feel very welcome and it was fun sharing conversations with people I was meeting for the first time. After the dinner, we sat around and told each other stories until it started to get dark and I left the party to walk the dogs. When we got back, I went through the usual putting the bird feeders away as another day came to an end.
