It was a beautiful bright sunny day when we went out for our first walk. We just wandered around but didn’t see any of our neighbors close enough to say “Good Morning” to. The dog park enthusiasts had their dogs’ chasing things and a couple of other people who did not have dogs were just walking. All in all, a very peaceful sight.
Back at the RV, I brought out the bird feeders with the hopes that maybe, just maybe, we will see more birds today. I fixed the dogs some food and then made myself a couple of pieces toast and that all important coffee. I did see a pair of squirrels while we were out walking. I guess that the South Texas squirrels do not hibernate as usually, it doesn’t get that cold for very long. Maybe a couple of days at a time and sometimes even frosts and snow although neither lasts very long.
I settled down to write the blog and as I was only one day behind, was able to remember what happened yesterday. I glanced at the clock, and it said it was 1:30 pm as another day gallops on by.
The girls are off travelling visiting Daniel and Malinda. They offered to take me, but I declined mostly because I didn’t want to leave the dogs alone for such a long time. Incidentally, the girls have sold their RV and are temporarily living in their Travel Van. Their long-term plan is to move into a property that Daniel and Malinda own and are currently having a house built. It won’t be long before it is just Delores and me from the original group and she won’t be moving as her extended family live close by. Sure, going to miss all of them.
The rest of the day was spent in the usual way with dog walks and the evening meal followed by watching TV until midnight when I decided to go to bed.
