The blog is all over the place and I am not sure why. As there are so few followers, I have decided to stop worrying about it and will let the blogs take up whatever position in the chain as they fall. Quite honestly, I don’t know why they are so mixed up as I write everyday with the next date for each one that is on the calendar. My apologies to the half a dozen readers that do happen to follow along. I thought that I was up to date with the blog except for yesterday but apparently, the computer thinks different and there are several gaps in what I see on the screen.
The most important item was that James came out and worked on trying to eliminate the rodents and repairing the damage they had done, James is a big man, and he spent a couple of hours laying on his back under the RV as he worked on repairing the damage and putting rodent poison everywhere. Of course, this is at least the second maybe third time that I have paid exterminators to eliminate the varmints, but they keep coming back, stupid things. I haven’t seen any visible signs of them inside the RV as the damage they cause is under the floor. The word I received is that they are coming back for the birdseed that falls on the ground from the feeders and so far, I have two directives to eliminate feeding the birds from at least two of the companies and my personal advisor… Darn, I really enjoy watching the birds
James eventually finished the work this time around and I paid him so he could go on his way to the next project followed by my thanks. He is still a very flexible man to contort his body to get to some of the places the rats are in. Most of his work is done laying on his back to get to where he needs to make a treatment. I was right alongside figuratively speaking trying to help in my own small way like handing him tools and such. BTW, I wouldn’t want his job, and it doesn’t matter how much is the pay.
My knee is still very sore, and I can just about walk enough to give the dogs exercise. Be glad when it stops hurting so I can go back to being more active. The rest of the afternoon was spent in very short trips around the RV walking the dogs and doing a lot of sitting around feeling sorry for myself.

I managed to have a fairly good night’s sleep even with the bum knee. I just had to be careful when I turned over or needed to “go”. which is at least a couple of times a night, sometimes more. Can’t “hold it” like I used to especially if I have had a couple bottles of beer Another one of the rewards for growing old.
.I managed to crawl out around 8:30 thinking that I had a doctor’s appointment. A bit more research when I was up and wide awake revealed that the appointment is for tomorrow.
We went out for a short walk around the Commons so at least the dogs had some exercise. My knee was still sore but not as bad as yesterday, Hopefully, it is on the mend. It really needs to be replaced like the left one, but I don’t want to go through that again.
Back in the RV, I fixed breakfast of corn flakes, but it didn’t go down very well so I gave it to the dogs. Even the coffee tasted off so I guess I must be the problem.
I continued to work on the blog and brought it up to date and then wondered what to do for the rest of the day. It was only 12:30 pm and a lot of day to go. I sat there thinking of my options and really couldn’t come up with anything except a trip into town for groceries and even that was not immediately necessary. (I still had several of the tiny bottles of wine…)
I was having problems with the Heating/Air Conditioning unit in the RV and spent some time fiddling around with it to no avail. It comes on but will not switch off as the thermostat tells it to. Another thing for James to look at.
It was a quiet day and so I decided to go to the HEB and do some shopping. I said goodbye to the dogs and drove to the store spending an hour wandering around and admiring all of the goodies several of which ended up in my basket. It’s hard to resist when whatever it is, staring you in the face
I got out of there and made my way back to Dripping Springs and the campground and was met by two very eager little dogs who were ready to go walkies. They helped me put groceries away and then out the door we went to wander around the campsite.
The rest of the day was spent in putting away the groceries and listening to an Audiobook plus of course, more walkies and the evening meal. I watched a good movie on the TV and as usual. managed to go to bed around midnight.
