Today is my Birthday and I have reached the grand old age of 90. Considering everything, I feel pretty good. Of course, I have the odd ache and pain, who doesn’t? I walk two or three times a day with my two faithful buddies, Mikey and Summer and on the whole, life is very good.

I had already decided that Summer was going to the groomers as she was a bit of a mess. Her hair had grown so long that she could barely see plus she had built up a wall of poop around her backside which had hardened and was very uncomfortable for her.

Mikey and Summer piled into the Jeep, and we made the short trip to the groomers. Mikey was just along for the ride as Summer was the main focus of this exercise. He stayed in the Jeep as I checked Summer in at the desk.

We drove back to the RV, and I settled down working on the blog and taking Mikey out walking. A couple hours later, I received a call from the groomers that Summer was ready to go home. Mikey and I picked her up and Mikey was as pleased to see her, as was I. She looked pretty sharp with her new haircut, and I could even see her eyes.

Back in the RV I was doing some house cleaning by taking up the rugs to sweep under them and at the same time, I hosed them off and hung them outside to dry. One of them was hanging on the carryall on the Jeep and I completely forgot about it when I went in to pick up Summer. It is probably the other side of the world right now as the wind must have blown it somewhere. Good luck to whoever finds it as it is in good shape. On the other hand, now I got to buy another one. Maybe, I could do without that one. There’s a thought. That idea didn’t work out as it is the main rug from the door into the RV, so it is the one that does the most cleaning.

The rest of the day was spent either sitting around listening to an Audiobook or dog walking until the evening when Delores had set up a small birthday party over in the Commons to celebrate my birthday. It was a lot of fun as the attendees included young kids and older people like me. Thanks Delores.
