Living in an RV Henly RV Park Thursday 01/22/2026

I awoke to a nice bright cheerful morning. The wind had a bit of a chill to it, but my camp site jacket was enough to take care of it. As we usually do, I harnessed up the dogs, and we wandered around the campsite. As we wandered around, we didn’t see anyone dog walking or otherwise.

Back in the RV, I fixed us all breakfast and sat down to work on the blog while I ate my cornflakes. Food is getting to be a problem as not much appeals to me anymore. I had nothing planned for the day, but something will turn up as it always does. If not. I will listen to an Audiobook and lounge around as I always do.

I decided that there were a couple of things I needed from Tractor Supply so without further ado. I hopped in the Jeep for the short trip to that store. On the way up, I thought of a couple more things I needed but had to drive in to the HEB located in town. On the way home, I stopped for a Latte.

The rest of the day was spent dog walking or listening to an Audiobook as not much is happening around here as we anticipate the upcoming cold front.

It was a dull and cloudy day when I finally crawled out of bed. I glanced at the clock and couldn’t believe what I was looking at. The clock said that it was almost 12:00 pm and we had managed to sleep the morning away. I checked my phone just to check and sure enough; it told me the same time. I haven’t slept that late in forever.

Without further ado, I harnessed up the dogs and took them out for a walk, and I could almost see the look of relief on their faces as the hit the grass. We wandered around the park as we usually do before heading back to the RV for breakfast all round.

There was a knock on the door accompanied by frantic barking from Mikey and Josh was standing there. We have a freeze warning for this evening as the temperature is supposed to drop to below freezing and will stay that way for the next few days. Josh hooked up my heated hose and wrapped the pipes and faucet to prevent freezing. I thanked him profusely for his help and he moved on to the next RV.

I worked on the blog, but my mind was on the upcoming weather. I hope we don’t have a hailstorm as I have had to replace both my last RV and my Jeep because of hail damage.

I glanced at the clock and because we got up so late, it showed it to be almost 4:00 pm as the day rapidly disappears. I have no plans other than to stay warm. This coming week is really going to be a test for all of us.
