It seems to be just sitting here
comfortably resting in my chair
that life is really not that bad
and really no reason to be sad
sure it has its difficult times
when Covid-19 cases climb
forcing us to wear a mask
and keep our distance which is really a task
that humans being what they are
holding conversations from afar
is not like how we are trained
for touching and feeling is part of our game
we no longer shake hands when we meet
with friends or strangers in the street
instead we bump each others fist
just enough to coexist
and now our way to greet and meet
our friends and neighbors out on the street.
