Today is a miserable day
it’s raining hard too wet to play
outside where I want to be
rather than here not feeling free
there is something about the sun
which makes our lives feel like fun
to feel the warmth of its embrace
and the heat upon our face
makes our lives feel worthwhile
and the warmth makes us smile
we could not live if the sun did not shine
no crops would grow, and the earth would decline
into a lifeless planet floating around
just like others that are found
out in the universe in which we live
but we have our sun the heat it gives
is life to our planet as things do grow
as Nature puts on her beautiful show.

Francis: Envy your lifestyle, always wanted the same. Now a widower for 2yrs. age 84 still thinking about doing it. What are your plans for shelter should Miss Daisy need overnight repairs? Also why not move to a warmer clime for the winter? Also why did you not select a class A for additional room for full time living?
Appreciate your reply, thanks Dan
You need to be in good physical shape to do this full time as there is always something that needs attention. Tanks need to be emptied and such. There is always a Motel for overnight repairs and some Repair places let you park and stay in the RV for the night. I currently am in Texas which is not known for harsh winters except for the past couple of years. As an FYI, I have just traded in Miss Daisy for a Class A. My original reason was that the Class C was smaller and easier to drive and park but in retrospect, it was a mistake as I gave up a lot of living space. Now I have Mr. George, a little older Class A with 5000 miles on the clock and a lot more living space. Read more about him down the road.
Incidentally, unless you have big rig driving experience, A Class A can be quite formidable just because of the size.
Your posting is from weeks ago, and as I read it, the sun is shining here for the first time in days. You’re poem is spot on! Yay for sunshine!
